There’s been a lot of talk about how bots and messaging apps are going to develop for the future, with Facebook’s Messenger app already partnering with quite a few brands to make it easier for people to access things like flight information from KLM, or order up a ride from Uber or Lyft. Now two new convenient partnerships have been announced that will perhaps draw even more people into using the Messenger app for their every day needs.
First up, is Dropbox. Due to the new partnership, users will be able to easily share files stored in their dropbox accounts through Facebook Messenger. “Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations,” stated Head of Product for Messenger at Dropbox, Stan Chudnovsky, on the company’s blog.
The other new partnership is with Salesforce, a company that provides flexible and powerful CRM services, as well as a full service “Marketing Cloud” product. Their new partnership with Messenger will allow Salesforce users to interact with clients and customers on Facebook Messenger with tailored messages that are unique to each customer. Companies using Salesforce will be able to easily offer customer service through the messaging platform, while having the customer’s information easily linked to from the messages, which will make it easier for the person on the side giving the customer service to deliver, leading to customer satisfaction. This is important because in a world where services are increasingly convenient and available, the thing that sets apart companies and creates brand loyalty is actually how well they can deliver customer service.
