Need a genius ad campaign but don’t know where to turn? You might want to try this app. It’s called Agency Spotter, and it includes all of the big agencies you’ve heard of, such as JWT, as well as smaller ones that might be harder to find which have certain specialties. The app claims that it is visited by 10,000-25,000 marketers, and boasts a population of 12,000 agencies to choose from in the app. Brands large and small have used it, and the fact that Coca-Cola and Starbucks have used the ad to find the perfect agency should tell you it might be worth checking out. However, the ad campaigns that people need to get done on the app range from $10,000 campaigns to $2.5 million campaigns.
“One of the reasons I built this was to help marketers and my colleagues from small, medium and big brands around the world who were wasting hundreds of hours trying to figure out who they should be talking to on the agency side,” said app creator Brian Regienczuk. The app itself is free, and users would just type in the criteria they want to see in their ad campaign which includes budget and location, as well as the specific services needed. Then, when the results pop up, users can search through portfolios of agencies to pick the best one. Each agency can only list five services that it provides in order for app users to easily find the things they are looking for.
Agencies can pay to promote themselves in the app, which does cost a bit – anywhere from $750-$4000 per year. The app creators hope that this feature will level the playing field and give those medium and small sized agencies that not many people have heard of before more of a fighting chance in the sea of large agencies.
