Happy Chanukah! Here’s something that could be a great gift…and it might sound just as legendary as the Chanukah miracle in which the oil in the lamp that should have only lasted for one day lasted for 8, though, it’s real and not magical at all!
Oukitel, a Chinese mobile device manufacturer, has developed an impressive device. It is actually a smartphone, whose battery lasts longer than 12 hours. Much longer. The battery on the K10000 lasts approximately ten days, 15 if you don’t use the device much. Even with a battery case added onto your iOS or Android device, you’ll probably only get 24 hours of juice. Sure, the specs on this smartphone aren’t impressive, and it’s not necessarily designed for the fast flowing 3G+ data networks over here in the west, but seriously – you can do most things that you can do on your smartphone now, or 10-15 days. It only costs about $240 and pre-orders will be shipped on January 21, 2016.
The device itself is kind of clunky, but is useful for those who enjoy spending time in the outdoors, but need to make a phone call once in awhile, or for those who don’t have regular access to electricity. The best part is that you can actually use this device’s extra juice to power up your other devices.
